This section allows users to maintain their expired stock. This screen highlights all stock of "lifed items" (i.e. parts with expiration dates) that have expired and allows the user to write off, quarantine or amend the batch expiration date as required.
Selecting the Expired Stock option in the Inventory section will present the user with the following screen.
The user has the usual set of grid filters available at the top of the screen for dates and part-related information that allows them to narrow down what they are looking for.
Once the user has added any filters, or if they simply want to see everything, clicking the REFRESH will update the grid below with a list of expired stock (or due to expire) that meet the selected criteria.
From here the user can see the associated details of all batches that have expired, or are due to expire if a date filter has been applied to a future date, as well as select the batches for write off, transfer the stock to quarantine or amend the expiry date of the batch. These action are all done using the boxes highlighted in yellow towards the right-hand side.
If the user wishes to write off the batches, they can tick the WRITE OFF option against the relevant batches and also choose a WRITE OFF REASON.
Once the batches and reasons have been selected, clicking ACCEPT will write off the selected batch(es). Clicking REFRESH will update the screen with the changes made.
If the user wishes to simply relocate the batch(es) to a quarantine location for further inspection, they can do so by choosing the quarantine location they wish to transfer to. The drop-down list will give the user a list of all quarantine stock location set up in Progress for them to select from.
Once the batches have been selected, clicking ACCEPT will transfer the selected batch(es) to the specified location(s). Clicking REFRESH will update the screen with the changes made.
If the user wishes to amend the expiration date of the batch(es), they can select the new expiry date using the drop-down calendar.
Once the new date(s) have been selected, clicking ACCEPT will update the expiration date of the selected batches as required. Clicking REFRESH will update the screen with the changes made.
