Precision manufacturing firm Whiteley Brooks Engineering has bolstered its shop floor production with the introduction of state-of-the-art production control software, ProgressPlus.
The Coventry-based engineering firm, established in 1965 by Ken Whiteley and Stan Brooks, manufactures high quality machined component parts primarily for use in Formula 1 racing vehicles. And, ever keen to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to new technologies and manufacturing practices, Whiteley Brooks has invested heavily in the ProgressPlus production control software in a bid to streamline working practices and reduce unnecessary production costs.

From its initial orders in 1965 Whiteley Brooks Engineering has grown into the multi-faceted precision engineering and CNC machining business it is today and following a draft of new orders it became clear an integrated software management system would pay dividends.
After a meticulous consultation process with several production control system developers, ProgressPlus, developed by Glasgow-based Berkeley Myles Solutions, is now in operation at the firm's Binley plant.
The system has restructured several existing processes into one cohesive unit allowing the company to keep track of and follow orders every step of the way using ProgressPlus' unique user-friendly interface. From inception to manufacture, delivery and invoicing the program ensures full access and reporting at each stage of the job.
